Rush Dorsett Soprano

Rush Dorsett is a classically trained soprano singer, having completed her Master’s degree in performance and Vocal Pedagogy at New England Conservatory (NEC) in Boston.

Rush specializes in opera, oratorio, chamber music, and new music. She has a passion for collaborating with living composers on bringing new works to life. Rush held several lead opera roles on the NEC stage (see resume for details) and is currently a Company Artist with Moon River Opera company.

Rush is known for her expressive musicianship, warm and silvery vocal tone, dynamic collaboration skills, and naturalness on stage.

Her vision is to continue to perform both traditional and original works and represent repertoire that spans diverse cultures and languages. She sees that her role as an artist is to illuminate the wisdom that resides in each piece of music, and to touch the hearts of listeners.
